How I went from an engineer to a designer
If you think about it, nine years ago now, I was working as an engineer in a rural area. I mainly implemented the UI part of the app, and sometimes coded the internals as well. I had always loved to make things, so being an engineer may have been my calling, but it was something I didn’t feel fulfilled with every day.
At that time, my boss asked me to develop an app and I did everything from the UI design of the app by myself, and when I showed the completed app to my boss, he said, “Hmmm, this button is inconspicuous, so change it to red, and the text on this button is large,” and at first I thought of rebelling against his lack of sense of feedback, but he was a pain in the ass, so I gave up.
Predigence as a designer

Originally, I’ve been making things since I was little. I loved crafting and was always making something. However, what I paid particular attention to when I was making it was how it looked. I’ve always cared more about appearance than performance. So when I made something, it took me a lot of time and effort just to make the outside. But maybe that was the beginning of my career as a designer.
Start studying design from no experience

I regretted not being able to say it back to my boss, so I decided to study design first, and the book I read at the time was the following.

Initially, I was thinking of going to a school in order to study design that should be studied from a book, but I recommend starting with a book in order to know if you really want to go into the design field. If you start school with a lot of effort, you will lose a lot of money in case of emergency. I hope you will find it helpful.
